if you pick a surface and use parrell finish and it climb mills can you reverse it with out changing the in feed direction. so if i am cutting in xy but moving in y can i reverse the cutt but still move in in y and not out

i am surfacing a xz arc on the x axis and the part is longer than the 3 d model i want the cutter not to plunge into the part. i used the gap settings as brian had said, so i dont quite get what the direction button does.

just a quick one does the direction button allow you to cut longer in xy when you are surfacing in that direction

hi guys sorry to post when everyone is on the new release of x5. i am having trouble with this part it keeps gouging i have uploaded the file 12345.mc9 if any has time to take a look that would be great. thanks
