  1. you need to work with your post their is a way to customize you post to adjust the feed rate for the periphery of the arc meaning when your cutter slows on the inside arcs and speeds up on the outside of the arc to keep the same chip load all the time. we tried to get our reseler to put it in our post but it was over their head. we showed MC this was a problem 10 years ago and it has not been address up to this point

  2. What kind of post do you have? I am using Mpmaster and the variable is "next_tool$"

      	pbld, n$, "G43", *tlngno$, pfzout, scoolant, next_tool$, e$
pcan2 #Added so M and G codes in canned text will output before phsm2_on
     	phsm2_on #must remain after G43

We are using the MPMASTER post with a lot of changes in it. For HAAS' and GE 1050 controls

  3. It is a system variable, so you need the $ at the end: next_tool$

The veriable next_tool gives you the next tool used but with that in mind if in the next opp. I am using the same tool how do I find that tool in the post. We are using the MPMASTER post with a lot of changes in it.

  4. Does anyone know the variable's name holding the next operations tool number.

This is not the variable next_tool

I would like to know whare i can find the next operations tool number befor leaving the presant operation.

    thanks Richard
