Yes that is a bug.

We do have Cimco HSM on our seats of MasterCam, trust me it processes much faster.
-
You will need an upgrade

David these toolpaths are very similar to Cimco HSM, which I have personally been using since it was released. You need to think a little differently then you did with MC surface paths. I always select all surfaces and boudrie out what you want to cut or not cut. Trust me you will never gouge a part using this method. My hats off to CNC Software for giving us these far superior cutter paths for "Free". I haven't used check surfaces for almost 2 years and I personally don't care if I ever do again. Just my 2 cents.

We have a raid0 with two 36 GB raptors. I say that the speed is worth it.
-
MasterCam itself doesn't truly use dual processing. If your verify is been running since yesterday I would make sure you switch to turbo on verify and make sure your speed is turned up all the way.

Yes I am referring to arc filtering in MasterCam. I turn off all arc filtering in MasterCam. However for tool compensation purposes we do output arcs for bushing holes, anything 2D, etc.
-
We have called Fanuc on arc filtering and Fanuc told us to send the entire program out as linear. We were told that arc filtering on our V55 would slow down it's performance by 20-30%. They were right. We pulled all arc filtering on any of our Fanuc controllers. So maybe try taking your filtering off all together.

I have built two of these machines for our shop. They are the extreme edition. I have also built two other machines that were not the extreme edition. They are very fast and smooth procsessors. You won't see a lot of benefit with the dual procsessors in MC9 but, you will have a very smooth reliable computer. HTH

John are you going to share that chook or what?
-
Günther,
Is there a way to get the stock size to output I can't seem to figure it out?
-
Jody,
Thanks a bunch. What a nice setup sheet.
-
Is there any way to adjust the output of all the decimals to 4 places instead of 2. Thanks for any help.
-
Make sure your fine step down settings are correct.

X will run on XP64 but MC9 won't
-
hessigc, you have X running on XP64 or MC9?

This explains it on the last post http://www.emastercam.com/cgi-bin/ultimate...t=016427#000027

Are you using shortest path in HSM? If you are you should use the map to high-feed function.
-
Happy I could help.
-
You need to change to Html.set in your machine def.
-
That stuff blows!!!!!!! Try and drill a hole with it. You need to show your boss Cimco-Hsm. Much better than cam-tool.
-
Dave,
I finally (not quite sure how) got it fixed thank you for all your help.

New version of Cimco HSM with the same step over, step down, tolerance, and cutter strategies 2:05. 100% cpu usage of my quad core almost the entire time. MasterCam on this same machine 5:27. I can get down to 5:07 with over clocking but it starts to become unstable. I also noticed the Cimco takes advantage of 64 bit technology I may have to buy some different sticks of ram and load XP64 and see if I can get a little more out of it.
