  1. Trying to set up the net hasp on a new server with a dynamic IP address. I know that the ".ini " needs some editing, but not sure where the server address goes with a dynamic address. Any ideas? cheers.
  2. Any idea when X7 will be available for the MC for SW users?
  3. Wow, what a drama. Not that easy drawing an NPT threadmill bit. FeatureCam has a threadmill tool tab.
  4. Hi, I need to define a threadmilling tool and I notice that there isn't a specific threadmill tab in the "tool type" library. How is this done, anyone know? I notice that there is a threadmilling toolpath so why no threadmill tool? thanks in advance. Kel.
  5. Where does the sketch have to be saved to? Does the sketch need to be open when creating the form tool? Is the sketch saved as a solid part?
  6. I have just started using MCfSW. Generally speaking it's quite OK. I have been using FeatureCam for around 5-6 years and I'm finding that MCfSW isn't as intuitive . I guess however that I'm still learning. I get the feeling though that SolidWorks is a much more advanced piece of software than MasterCam is at present. I am also finding that there is alot of reference to stand alone MasterCam on this forum and not as much for MCfSW at this stage Regards Wayne.
  7. Tried doing that and to no avail.
  8. Hi Guys. I'm having trouble creating a user defined tool using a sketch or file for that matter. The tool is a double angle 45 deg cutter mounted on a sub arbour. Attached is a .jpg of the cutter created in Solidworks. We use MasterCam for Solidworks. Any thoughts? regards Wayne.
  9. I have done this already or you can even use the Letter/Number outline as a contour. As Ryan said, we need a centreline contour as the tool path. Thanks for your suggestions to this point. Regards Wayne.
  10. Hi, I am trying to do a simple engraving task. Numbers 1-9. I am using MaterCam for SolidWorks and the fonts available make the text an extruded pocket. I just want a single line profile to use as the tool path. Is there a way to do this? Any feedback would be appreciated. Cheers Wayne.
  11. Hello, I am using MC for Solidworks and have a basic 3 axis VMC. I need to find out how to set multipul datums on 1 part and post them individually. Any ideas?
