Looks like my printer driver won't read anything but whole numbers. It will let me set 101% or 99% but not 100.5%.

Thanks Ron, Yeah, I assumed the problem was in the printer driver. I was just hoping for less trial and error, but that should work and I suppose once I figure out the percentage that works it should be the same all the time. Thanks, Adam.

Occasionally I need to print out a quick paper template in order to rough cut out my materials. For some reason my templates are printing out a little small, not 100% like I've got it set in the print dialogue box. I haven't gotten around to loading X3 yet so this is X2,MR2 SP1 I'm talking about. Does anyone have any ideas on how to correct this?

Colin, Thanks for your reply too. I have been using the power keys and the "shift" to select a chain. My problem was when I momentarily didn't want ANY Auto Cursor and wanted to sketch a point without inadvertently grabbing geometry I didn't want. The Ctrl hold down works for this. Ok, I'm transitioning from version 7...yes 7 to X2.(couldn't get my boss to do it until he realized 10 years of files would never be able to come forward if he waited any longer) Now, if everyone is done laughing, here's my question. Overall, I'm getting with the program drawing wise. At first I REALLY hated the icons and new interface but I'm done feeling sorry for myself and now I think it's really pretty hip. Here's what driving me nuts. I often need to toggle Auto Cursor "off" for a moment to sketch a point without Mastercam trying to grab something I don't want. I know I can go to the Auto Cursor Dialog Box and click the "Disable All" but since I don't like having all the possible Auto Cursor modes selected when Auto Cursor is "On" - that means I have to go back and check the modes I want every time I turn it off for a moment. I just want to keep my selection of modes, but be able to toggle Auto Cursor on and off. There's gotta be a way. Adam.

Hey thanks everybody, I forgot to follow up on this post...how rude! I had already found Allstar and I'm glad to hear everyone likes them. They sent me a sample that was a little more ragged than the stuff I get from Vac-U-Loc but they said they might be able to improve the cut with some machine maintenance. Thanks again, Adam.

I use quite a but of channel gasket material from Vac-U-Loc http://www.vaculok.com/Gasket_Material.html on phenolic vacuum fixturing and have been making fixtures using 5/32 x 1/8" gasket for some time. Inexplicably, the 5/32 dimension is no longer available and I have several years worth of fixtures that will eventually need their gaskets replaced. Is anyone out there aware of any other manufacturers of this kind of gasket? any leads are much appreciated, Adam.

Hi all, I've been converting some bitmap shapes with Corel Trace to a vector and then drawing splines over them in Mastercam to get machinable geometry. At present I'm converting a customers signature and to get a good flow through the letters it works better to have splines cross and then trim out the intersections. Imagine a box letter X as an example. The problem I'm having is when I go to pocket the geometry it shows overlapping entities that seem to relate to the original, untrimmed spline. IE there are circles indicating overlapping entities in the middle of my letters where no entities exist any more. Can anyone suggest a good work around for this? Thanks.

Hi, I'm trying to use Corel Trace to convert a raster image to DXF. When try and read my DXF into Mastercam it comes up with no entities. The odd thing is, when I try to view the same DXF with a viewer I use called Irfanview, there definitly seems to be lin information in the file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's exactly how I have it set up. It backplots right too...but when I post it the resulting code has all points drilling at the depth of the first point...as though I had it set to Absolute.
