Thanks everyone.I think James answered my question.I was looking to see if there is a parameter for mulitpasses in the thread milling dialogue box.I thought for sure that they would have one and that I must have been missing something.They definetly need to incorprate that in ver10.It would make thread milling a lot easier.

Is there a way to control the number of cuts you want to take when useing the thread milling parameters.I can only get the finish pass to be outputted.When cutting a real coarse thread the tool cannot cut it to full depth in 1 pass.

Thanks guys for your quick response.The screen blank unblank fixed the problem.I know the entites on the layer do nothing but when I merged files the hidden entities also got merged so I ended up with like 50000 entities.That made the file open very slowly,and also incresed the file size.

I have hidden entities on a layer which I can't seem to delete.When I do a layer report it shows that they are there.I tried changing the backround colour to see if I can see them in order to delete them but I had no luck.Does anyone have any other ideas on how to delete them.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone out there is working with Proe models useing Mastercam on a consistant basis.And if they are maybe they could tell me what is the best way to read a Pro Eng model into Mastercam.I am useing iges right know but when ever I need to extend a surface I must first do an untrim to the surface before I can do a surface extend.But when I do this the surfaces are very difficult to trim back up to the way they were orginally in the model.Will an upgrade to Mastercam solids solve this problem and would I need a proe file converter also? Will Mastercam solids recognize all the features of the proe model and allow me to add or delete features such as holes or extend feature already in the model,and does Mastercam Ver9 lathe support the turning of solids?
