  1. Haha! Thanks for the encouragement. It is my first time being the front man to get a post working. A painful process for sure! I had discovered G07.1 in my manual the other day and was wondering if that was a better alternative to inverse feed. I was initially leaning toward inverse feed because I'm more familiar with it.
  2. I have been tasked with working with ICAM people to set up the post for our new QT250my lathe. This is new territory for me and I am wondering which way is best to proceed when using a C-axis and linear feed motion at the same time. The first version I received of this post did not take into account the fact that the C-axis feeds in degrees per min, which makes my 75 ipm feedrate incredibly slow. This only occurs when I am working on the OD of the part. I have G12.1 engaged when I am working from the face and it works fine. Is inverse feedrate my best option here, or is there a better way to go?
  3. It is grey prior to me trying to regenerate the toolpath that is causing this error.
  4. Hello everyone! New user to the Lathe portion of Mastercam here. I am using version 2019. The base of the problem seems to stem from trying to use the update stock function with each toolpath I make. It could be a Lathe drill path, or regular turning path, or even a cutoff path, I still have this error message pop up saying tool collision with stock in right spindle. I do not even have any stock defined in the right spindle. All of my axis combinations are set to the left spindle. I am constantly having to find "work-arounds" for this problem, which usually just ends up with me shutting off the stock update feature and not using it. I have done some searching around this site but I haven't seen anyone else encountering this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  5. CEMENTHEAD: Good to know I'm not the only one!
  6. Thanks for the idea Josh, unfortunately I am still getting 16 digit values after letting mastercam create a new default config file.
  7. I forgot to mention that I am using MX2018
  8. Whenever I use project, translate entities, or any of the other x-form functions, it will spit out a number in the values box that is 16 digits long after the decimal point. I have looked all over for the setting to adjust this back to 4 digits but have not had any luck. Can someone please point me in the right direction?
  9. I should not have put Autosave into my post heading. This problem is dealing with the backup folder only. I don't think that is it Murlin. If I am understanding you correctly you are saying that the first time you save a file it is stored in the recently viewed section under the files menu. That is directly linked to the original mx file I am using. If something happens to that original file, the recently viewed file will lose its link and not open. The only way to pull that file up again is through your backup folder.
  10. Forgot to mention I'm using X8.
  11. Just noticed that my backup is not working correctly. It shoots a file to my backup folder every time I save, but the file it shoots to my backup folder is the previous time I have saved. It seems as if it is always lagging one file behind in my backup folder. Has anyone else experienced this?
