  1. Hi Dan, We do utilize a third party product for conducting our surveys, however, the surveys we have been sending out regarding X8 Beta do not ask for phone number or for you to register to the best of my knowledge, just name and company. Do you have a screenshot of the page that asks for this information so I can get to the bottom of it? Thanks, Russ
  2. There is no support for the Leap Motion controller in Mastercam at the current time. We are very excited by the explosion of alternate input and output devices over the last 3-5 years, with technology like the Leap Motion controller, Windows support for the Microsoft Kinect, Google Glass, and the Microsoft Surface. There are certainly concerns about the practical day-to-day use of some of these devices, as pointed out, ergonomics have a large role in the adoption of natural user interfaces. We are continuing to explore the best uses for these new technologies as we move forward and are always looking for input in regards to how you anticipate using them in your work environment.
  3. Wes, yes, the customer feedback program gives us the number of times a function has been called, but that is really only half of the battle. We use feedback from surveys such as this to validate the usefulness and usability of a function, that way we aren't spinning our wheels working on something that doesn't need the attention. Surveys like this also give us the opportunity to get open ended feedback on how customers are using the functions, which is a big plus for us.
  4. Thanks for the input, everyone. I just want to let everyone know that we are getting a lot of great feedback, both from the survey and here on the forum. Our intentions are not necessarily to remove any of the toolpaths listed, just to gain a better understanding of how these toolpaths are being used. This will, however, help us prioritize future development of our mill toolpaths. And yes, this survey will be launched through additional channels. Also feel free to forward the link on to any colleagues or friends who may be using Mastercam.
  5. Please help us make Mastercam a better product! Below is a link to a short survey which will help us better understand how our users are utilizing different toolpath types in Mastercam. Please take the time to fill out the brief survey (it's only 8 questions!). Any questions or comments can be posted directly to this forum thread. For your convenience, we are offering the survey in multiple langues. Once you click the link below, select your language from the list displayed. The information you provide will help CNC Software make important decisions about the future development of Mastercam toolpaths. Thank you for your feedback and for choosing Mastercam! https://ux.mastercam.../toolpathusage/
