Thx for the replies everyone...I had to download a post-processor. I wasn't able to see anything like G107 or G112 until now. I am still having trouble getting it to work with my drawing and machine set as a VTL so for now I just drew it up as a regular lathe. All the same right?? Other than a few simple edits at the control, the code does look right. I will dry run it in the morning and go from there. Cycle Start and run, right?
Cheers and thanks again!

Hello all,
Im new to the site. Ive been trolling the forums for answers for a few months now and for the most part have been able to find the answers to my questions. I am stuck on trying to threadmill on our HNK VTL. For the most part, I am a lathe guy and have run a few mills before but I am a total newbee when it comes to programming them. I dont know where to start...Ive done a little research and spoke with the guys that installed our VTL and they tell me that I have to use G12.1 polar coordinates. Whatever that is.. :-)
I have figured out how to threadmill for our Toyoda HMC's and that has gotten pretty easy. I just dont have a clue as to why the code for the VTL's is not working..
Anyhow Ive got the bolt pattern drawn out, I just dont know where to go from here. We use Mastercam X6, and thats about all I can do.
Any help/advice would be superb!
Cheers,
bmolinar
