  1. what we have is: Dell Precision t3600 six core xeon @3.2 ghz 16 gb ram Nvidia quadro 2000 (with 2 27" monitors 500 gig mindows 7 pro 64 bit. Computer as a whole is much better but i'm seeing a little bit more lag with a few things in mastercam but we are still working on it
  2. Chris, Thanks for the help. we had a contracted IT guy come and help with this. he copied everything from my old computer and installed it on the new one. the new install of mastercam did recognize most of the data paths but did not recognize any of the config files. But we are up and running.
  3. i was affraid of that, i guess i will sit down with the 2 computers side by side and compare everything. I've been using Mastercam since X2 but i never had to worry about any of the configurations or data paths, we had one guy here that was the keeper of the key for all that, he made sure we were all pointed to the same place on the server. Time to sit down and give myself a crash course in getting this set up.
  4. Hi, i'm new to the forum and i have a question about moving my Mastercam x6 from old computer to the new one. The IT person that used to do it is no longer here and i have no idea what it takes to move or update the software. This is what i need to do, i have been using X6 on this computer for about 2 months now which is XP pro and a 32 bit system, the new computer is windows 7 and a 64 bit system. we work from the network then we have our own personal settings. What is the easiest way to make the switch and get the new cumputer up and running with my settings and the links to the network. Thanks in advance for any help and sorry if this is a little vauge as i'm not real good with this cumputer stuff.
