  1. I know this has been addressed befor but I need some help. I read all the posts on the dated version of 1/12/01 vs 1/26/01. I did all of the CNCREG stuff that was postd. I still have no control over "Verify" when it opens. The wire frame is there for the stock but thats it. Also, lathe is totally wacked out. Most graphics do not appear in the parameter box and it will not open "Job set up" Am I missing something? Do I need to get a new disk from my reseller or can this be fixed with patches. I must add that we are still running Windows95. (I know, its very lame). We are due to upgrade to 2000NT very soon. Please bear with me as I am still very green with all this. Thanks
  2. Elad, Its just a guess but I think its because leadin/leadout is based on percentage of cutter dimension. If comp is off, it has no diameter for ref. I think?
  3. I think,(imho), that Mill in itself is as quick as you can make it. Try to save some operations to the library that you can call upon. Just a rookie opinion.
  4. Try using the "help" inside of MC. I try something new every day and when I hit a brick wall, I hit the help key. Its not the end all for learning but its right there and directs you to the section your working in. This forum is also a great place to learn. Just keep reading the posts and try to replicate what they are talking about. Finally, keep pluggin. I'm a rookie so its nice to know I'm not the only one. Good luck........Rainman
  5. Camguy, Thanks. I don't think of "Windows" when I am in MC. Maybe I should aye. Thanks again.......Rainman
  6. Maybe a little long on first post. Does the screen have to come up blank at startup or can it have chuck geometry as template? Just a rookie question I guess. Thanks again in advance? Rainman (From The Diamond State)
  7. Hello Everyone. I'm new at posts, have monitored this board for ~ 4-6 months, and have been using V8 for about as long. Was wondering,... we do almost all "one off" prototypes for pharmaceutical research (AstraZeneca in Wilmington DE) and would like to have the lathe screen start with the spindle "defined" already there. Same with file/new. Can this be done? I currently drag and copy my template within file/get. I think this forum is great! I have migrated from millwright work to machining and hope to learn from you all. Thanks in advance, Rainman (Ray)
