  1. I checked and the did change it to use entity colors. But still having the issues. I have tried other .stp files as well, including copying th e solid to a new level and still can change the color. I am uploaded the .stp file and a zip2go with the rest of the information. 43 MC 425-03066-001 REV'A' CDB.stp 43 MC 425-03066-001 REV'A' CDB.Z2G
  2. Thanks. I was able to get it up and running after changing the WCS. Simple things that your forget about after not doing it for 5+yrs.
  3. Here is the file. I ended up just deleteign the facing operation and used a roughing op, but want to get this figured out. I am working on another part right now, and I am having issues with doing a pocket on the face with a boss ( 31450043 xa file) and I keep getting either Y and Z moves or X and C, but I want Y and X moves. Its been over 5 yrs since I programmed lathes other than simple slant bed XZ lathes. i used to be able to do Twin Spindle/Twin Turret programming....gettign old sucks. 299 MC 2310C0841 REV '1' - SEC.mcx-9 332 MC 31450043-01 REV 'XA' - SEC.mcx-9
  4. I am having a problem getting this programmed, its a simple face op and a chamfer. I have done a stock transfer (Misc Op) and I am using WCS D+/Z+(1), with the origin at he orgin of the part, T/CPlane Top. I either get the tool doing the face cuts then rapding Z+ the X+ the Z- to next position (Z+.05 from first as I want), or I get an error stating that "the tool is starting embedded in the chuck". I am attaching a few pics. Any help would be appreciated Using MCX9 Lathe Jake
  5. I will give it a hsot after lunch
  6. I did a File/Merge of an .stp file only. Same way i used to do it in X4.
  7. It is selected. I have tried that, and it already states it is color 8 (dark grey), but the color on the screen is red (12). When I first import it, it has the system colors set, but once I hit apply (blue ball) or accept (green check), ith changes both solids and wireframes to red, but the attributes state they are the system colors.
  8. OK, it worked fine if I opened the stp file in a new window, but when i merged the file to the older rev file, back to the same issue, and the Clear All option is not working. I also tried merging the MCX-9 file where I could change the colors to the File I am working on, and as soon as I hit apply or the green check, the solid and wireframe go from the preset colors (blue and orange just for contrast) to red/red and cannot be changed, even with the attributes stating they are different colors.
  9. Got it! Thanks for the feedback, Mjolnir and RonC.
  10. OK, first off, I am running Mastercam X9, Update 3 (18.0.18466.0) on a 64bit Windows 7 machine with 16.0GB Ram and an Intel Xeon CPU E5-2637 v2 @3.50GHz (2 processors), and NVIDIA Quadro K4000 graphics card. I am trying to change the color of the solid and the wireframes on a part I imported into a current file. Currently the Solid and Wireframes are red, but I have right clicked on the wireframe box, selected all wireframe entities and changed it from red (12) to grey (8), but when i do Clear Colors, they are still red. If I analyze the wireframe, the color attribute is 8 not 12. Same issue with the solid. I can change the colors of the other solids/wireframes, but not the imported ones. Any Ideas?
  11. Yeah, I did and it just came up with a blank. I looked through the file and could not find NCFILE-LONG or NCFILE-SHORT anywhere.
  12. All i can find in there is the NCI file, not the NC file. See attached pic.
  13. That works for the NCI File, but I was hoping to get the NC file. I looked at the //setupsheet and it doesnt show the NC file location. I am using Active Reports, what if I use a .SET instead? For now I am going to be saving the NCI file to the same folder as the NC file.
  14. I do have the MCXFILE-LONG updating as needed, but I added another row below it to add the NCFILE-LONG, so the machinist knows where the nc program is when they go to setup the machine.
  15. Now I am trying to add the NCFILE-LONG data to the setup sheet under the MCXFILE-LONG on the main sheet, but I cannot get the information to show up. I tried using NCIFILE-LONG which I pulled from the " ...sst\-setup sheet (lathe-file)rpx" file. Any suggestions??
  16. lol yep too simple...took me all of 10 seconds to change what i needed to change. Thanks again.
  17. Changed it to "DIALOG6" and 'DIALOG7". Worked like a charm. How did you change the text on your pic?
  18. I am trying to modify the Setup Sheet so the Notes (Note 1.dat, Note 2.dat and Note 3.dat) show up in the header of the setup sheet. No matter what i do I can not get the information to show up. I attached a screen shot of the Active Reports Designer page. Any help would be appreciated. Jake
  19. So if I were to do the Setup Sheet first, then post the program, how would I modify the post? The files with the information are .dat files (Customer.dat, Programmer.dat, etc) Here are the lines from the post for the header information: pheader$ #Call before start of file "%", e$ sav_spc = spaces$ spaces$ = 0 *progno$, sopen_prn, sprogname$, sclose_prn, e$ #sopen_prn, "PROGRAM NAME - ", sprogname$, sclose_prn, e$ spathnc$ = ucase(spathnc$) smcname$ = ucase(smcname$) stck_matl$ = ucase(stck_matl$) snamenc$ = ucase(snamenc$) sopen_prn, "NC FILE - ", *spathnc$, *snamenc$, *sextnc$, sclose_prn, e$ sopen_prn, "PROJECT - ", sclose_prn, e$ sopen_prn, "DRAWING - ", sclose_prn, e$ sopen_prn, "REVISION - ", sclose_prn, e$ sopen_prn, "ITEM NUMBER - ", sclose_prn, e$ sopen_prn, "MATERIAL - ", *stck_matl$, sclose_prn, e$ " ", e$
  20. Is there a way to link the information form the Setup Sheet General Information to the Post Processor to have it come out in the program? INFORMATION IN RED IS FROM ATTACHED PIC % O5742(4491157-42) (NC FILE - 4491157-42.NC) (PROJECT - 18352) (DRAWING - 4491157) (REVISION - E) (CUSTOMER - PSNS) (MATERIAL - PLASTIC INCH - ABS) %
