  1. Thanks! I had both Assign tool and search tool number checked... DUH! Thanks for the help Kevin!
  2. Great to know that I didn't miss something "too" obvious (just a little bit obvious).
  3. I have an Up-Down Router bit which needs a minimum depth of 1-1/8" on the first pass. Say i have a material 1 3/4" thick, therefore i can cut in two rough passes. the max depth is fine if my material is thick enough but at this thick ness it will split the cuts in half. Two passes at 7/8" deep. which mean on my first pass my up cut is not deep enough and can rip up the top of my material. What is there to do?? Kovi
  4. The problem is that when i choose a tool for a cetain path, it changes the tool# I have set in my library. I then have to change it back everytime in the toolpath parameters. I've looked up other similar problems on the site but maybe havn't found the right one. Can someone point me in the right direction. It is quite annoying! Kovi
  5. I found out that my feed plane was lower than my ramp height therefore it would complete my ramp then lower to my feed plane.
  6. I have a centerline operation being routed by a 1/2'' router bit with a lead in and lead out, the lead in is perfectly normal but somehow the lead out (once it has finished the pass) drills straight down before moving on to the next line and does this for each line. Material .71'' thick length of lead-in 1'' with a ramp height of .6 with no arc and Tangent, lead-out is identical but seems to add another operation when verifying operations Any Ideas?? Kovi
  7. I'm new to Mastercam and have a noob question. While setting up my 45deg. chamfer bit in Tool Manager,I was wondering the difference between the flute length and shoulder. While looking at my router bits i don't seem to see where the two differ. Kovi
