controls are cincinnati 850sx

subsequent peck dialog box is grayed out

post has peck1 only in it

we use long ouput for our drill operations

just noticed not getting same amount of peck

in nc file that we put in peck amount box

input 5 mm and nc has 2mm picks

tryed changing pick %dia, no change

we do not use materal list...

any ideas as to were to look next..

ps: ver 8.1.1 and using MPmaster post

When we finish large 3d surfces our finish cuts

are with a 30 mm ball end mill with .4 mm stepovers, yes you can see cutter lines in the surfaces but are too small to be a problem.

.001 mm's scollops on flat

.003 mm's scallops on 45

James is right. some machines just work better then other doing large 3d surface work

plus sometimes cnc controlers have acc/dec built into , i turn off all acc/dec.

with it on leaves a mark at end of each block of code

line between to points on a surface is control

under MC config tolerances /

Maximum surface deviation

i use a setting of .0002 mm

In auto die work there are 2 types

of sheet metal parts.

Black metal = parts not seen by the eye

( supports, inner hoods etc )

Class A surface = are parts you see

outer hood, outer door etc

Class A surface refer's tpo sheet metal part

not surface finish of die it self

ive had parts come out that you could see in the part the different surface patchs, but they are too small to effect ( in the .0000,s)

smaller cut tol helps

I must admit, we have our door interlocks disabled too, on our sabres, 2 other machines too big for doors, But i would find other ways to save time then leave spindle running.

all it takes is one slip...

150 ipm is all our big machines can handle on

a finish path. Boss's think its wild at that speed.

they are happy ,

we use a pc's to drip feed our machines

we auto parts, only problem we've had when

feeds get over 150 ipm.

biggest programe ive rum was 12mb, hood die

start up and go to lunch,dinner and a nap
