  1. We have figured we can do it by projecting the boundary, then cut the pocket. I can cut just the boundary on a project tool path, but not if you do a pocket then project. If you try a using NCI it twists the tool path, if you use curves it will cut but just the center first 3 or 4 paths. I am just trying to cut an arrow.
  2. I am still using V9, Can't come to spend the money for X just yet. I am trying to project a pocket tool path on the inside of a cylinder. When projected the cut path is all skewd. Anyone willing to take a look at the to see what I am doing wrong. We have some older parts we did several years ago and they cam out fine, Just can't remember what we did to make it work.. The computer crashed and we reinstalled MC. Now when you open the part program, if you do anything in the tool window, it renders with plunges. So I figure we got something set wrong. Thanks, Richard
  3. Has anyone done the side of a fish , with the raised scales and such, not using Mastercam Art. Richard

    Sweeping

I am using creat surface to sweep between two different curv profiles along a curve. When viewed shaded it doesn't look to be a smooth suface, looks to have ripples that follow the along path, tried the Syn settings, haven't had much luck getting that to work well. I'm using V8. Any suggestions, Be easy on me I'm still in the learning curve. Richard
