  1. Well I appreciate your help, and I am glad that there are people like you who do spend time communicating with other manufacturers. Everything I know, I have learned by trial and error. I love the challenge of trying to get machines/programs to make parts. I can program turning no problem, I am working on turn/ mill machines now, next is milling machines. I would like to get some training on post processors, I just don't know if that's in my future. I have played with posts, and had success, but I don't fully understand. I intend on poking around the forum for more information. Thank you. I to, have a family, a full time day job, and a cnc garage shop. I'm trying to make it happen... Thanks, John
  2. I figured it was a mod, I really appreciate your help. I'm just not sure how to apply it... I guess my questions don't attract people's attention. I'm not sure what OT is? Thanks again. Thanks, John
  3. wow... How do I use this? Thanks, John
  4. Hello, I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to make a custom drill cycle in Mastercam X6 for C-axis milling on our Toshiba turn/mill machines. I think someone told me it is, but I haven't been able to figure it out. Basically I want to start a hole at one feed rate to a certain depth, then take the hole to finish depth at another feed rate. I have been doing this by hand for a while, but there has to be a better way... Thanks.
  5. Thanks for all the input, I work with several other programmers that work off a network. I'm trying to find the best way to go about this. We all pull manual entries from the network so that everything is the same, some of our machines have different requirements for the type of stop we want to use. We also use multiple coolant codes, machine specific m codes that I was hoping to just enter into the post so that I could just post and go? Does that make sense? I'm fine if this post gets moved. Thanks everyone.
  6. I'm comfortable editing the posts we use, I do it now. I just don't know what to do for this issue... Our dealer does not help us very much. Do you know what to edit in the posts? Thanks. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  7. Hello, I am trying to get mastercam to post an M8 at the start of a tool path operation, then post an M9 before my manual entry stop, then post an M8 again for the next tool path operation. Basically 2 cuts with a stop in between to check size. This is the way we do it here and everything I know or don't know about mastercam was learned on the job so... :-) Thanks.
  8. here is the file. thanks 100153813STM15.Z2G
  9. I looked there. Not sure what to do. Called my dealer, told me to use polar milling. Still not as simple as it should be. I'm trying to rough mill a face groove on a Toshiba turn/mill. Thanks John Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  10. Hello, I'm trying to figure out what and where I have to make a change in my post in order to only count to 360 degrees, then start again at zero? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  11. This is the best I could do. It took me forever to get these up! You can see the drill in verify is oriented wrong. What am I doing wrong? Hope you can help. Thanks. :-)
