  1. it has to be something other than pin assignments because we have been sending and recieving from these machines for years with a different program. hopefully ill figure it out today
  2. Anthony, look in your email. been communicating with you already today. thanks anyways, though
  3. Does anyone know what could be the problem if I can send to machines fine, but cannot recieve from them with the CIMCOedit communications? Sending to HAAS Mills, Hardinge Lathes fine, but can't recieve. I know it is possible because we have an older program set up specifically for us that will work. Also, can't get it to send to a Methods Slant 50 turning center. If anyone knows something, Id really appreciate it, thanks.
  4. my posts arent set up to return the tool notes next to a tool change. it gives other information, like tool diameter. does anyone know the correct code to insert instead of: popcode # Opcode Commenting Postline if tcr > 0, "(", *t, " - ", *sopnote, " - ", *tldia, " DIA - ", *tcr, "TIP RADIUS)" if tcr = 0, "(", *t, " - ", *sopnote, " - ", *tldia, " DIA)" i know this has to be what is causing this to be shown:(T10 - 3D-CONTOUR - .0156 DIA) i just want it to say (1/64 DRILL) thanks
  5. thanks for the response. but, when i look at the comments, it says 1/64 drill. but when i post, it gives the diameter, not just the normal name
  6. when posting an .nc file, the tool description that shows up in the program doesnt just say something like 1/64 drill, like you would think. it says (T10 - 3D-CONTOUR - .0156 DIA.) can i change this to pick up the 1/64 drill info from somewhere, instead of it saying the above? the way it is now i always need to manually edit programs
