  1. Hi I would like to convert nc files to geometry entities (mcam or dxf). Autocad and solidworks enclose tools to achieve that: my question is: does mcam v.9 (or v.8) supply similar tools? Bye
  2. Good news boys, It seems new ATI drivers works well with mastercam any workaround applied (i.e. turn down graphic acceleration slide). Would you confirm the same on you machine?
  3. Hi, I'm experiencing some problems with cursor display in the graphic area of mastercam. My graphic board is an ATI X800XT Pci express (My PC = P4 540HT, 1024 DDR2 533 MHz, OS Windows XP Pro). In practice, I can't see the cursor when I move the mouse pointer from the text to the graphic area. Could you suggest a way to workaround this issue?
  4. We bought an AGIE challenge EDM Wire, so far we meet a lot of difficult to use Mcam Wire (9 sp 2) + postprocessor AGIEVISION. We are interested especially in no core wirepaths. Any suggestions on postprocessor Agievo tweaking appreciated. Bye
  5. Hi Jake, I'll try to explain what we get using no core wirepaths. Target: cut a matrix of 2 rows x 3 columns closed profiles We set up each STCW, selected every chain, selected AGIE library and made mcam to build nocore wirepath (spiral). Each step was fine; the nci goes from a profile to the next in the matrix following what we set up (zig zag). Then we run the postprocessor and load the sbl+sbr+iso files on the AGIE Challenge; what we saw? The no cut path from a profile to another is stellar (starting from the center of a profile). Maybe we did'nt meet step by step the perfect EDM wirecut handbook but so far cannot understand what's going wrong. Hope you and the forum could help - we're in deep trouble. Bye
  6. Hi Brent, Agie programs seems something more like C++ than NC - That is another reason we can't figure out what's wrong. We are in big trouble because edm wire cut is for us like breathing air - that is if you can't breath air you can't live isn't it? Hope you and the forum could help us - Thank you
  7. Hi Do you own an Agievision NC machine (AGIE CHALLENGE)? We find a lot of problem to customize default agie post in mcam wire v9, especially for no core wirepaths. Could you suggest what have one to do to change default postprocessor? Thank you
  8. Hi, This is the first time for me, hope the forum could help me to solve this problem: I want to cut multiple pockets with Wire v9sp2 form mastercam; although I select each pocket chain and stcw the post for my AGIE Challenge (Agievision) outputs a program not suitable to the machine. When I load the program the machine says something like 'corrupt program', 'program not suitable' etc. The 'verify' option shows a correct wire path but agie cut only the first pocket (If I'm lucky). Could you suggest the right procedure to select and cut multiple pockets? Thanks trwire
