  1. I will give this a shot which I believe is what I have done before. I drew the geometry just to have reference for the drilling operation and got the program out to the shop quick. I just wanted it to look "pretty" after the fact. Thanks for the help!
  2. I have an iges file that I machined and an update was made that included a new hole through the part. I can't extrude the new geometry that I drew because Im not working with a solid. I know there is a way to make my iges model into a solid but I cannot seem to remember how to do it. I'm sure someone here has the answer!
  3. Thanks to everyone for their input. I filled the holes and that worked. I see that there have been several other suggestions that I missed by the time I got back to this forum. I will use these on future changes when they come around.
  4. Im dealing with both I guess. I will give the Fill Holes command a shot.
  5. I was wondering if you could do something like that! I deleted some of the wire frame but the holes on the top and bottom of the part are associated with the surface so I couldn't. How exactly do you fill in the holes and/or toying with the surface options?
  6. Well I did an iges file out from PROE and opened it with Mastercam. So that iges file reflects the two holes that are gone. It's the original mastercam file with previous PROE iges file that has the holes in it. I will try to associate the geometry from the new part to the imported toolpaths. Thanks!
  7. Hey everyone! First time poster here. I am using Mastercam 7 and I have a question. I have a part that has several drilled holes and a contoring operation. Two of the holes that are drilled and tapped have been removed in the latest revision of the part. I removed the operations but would like to update the model of the part to show that those are no longer there. I have seen a tech import operations from one part into another. I imported an iges of the new part from PROE and placed it the way it is on the original mastercam file. The operations imported but they are dirty and I cannot regenerate them. What am I missing and is there another way to show that the drilled and tapped holes are gone(from the actual solid model). Thanks Daniel
