hello I am using a Ingersoll face mills 2 - 3- and 4 inch the problem I am having is the corners are wearing out rapidly I am mainly cutting stainless steels I cant find a reference to guide me for speeds feeds or depth of cut
the ones I do see suggest that my FPT to be .010- 0.012 that seems to me to be really aggressive but maybe I am not being aggressive enough and that's what causing the problem
any help would be greatly appreciated
is there a way to have have a surface finish contour toolpath with a multi pass without creating 2 separate toolpaths ?
the roughing toolpath left .05 on surface and I would like to take 2 .025 passes with the finisher
I was wondering if it is possible to have my cutter ramp into my toolpath with the lead in / lead out settings, I don't see any settings for that
for a regular contour toolpath
Im trying to set up machine simulation and Im using a wcs that I created and is different from the standard top view , so when I use the machine simulation my vise and part are oriented incorrectly, Im wondering if the machine simulation only references the top view or can I somehow set the view in machine simulation to correspond to the view I have created for my vise and part so that they are oriented correctly in the machine simulation ?
I noticed that when I have my solid in the front view it is able to rotate from side to side , where as my other views do not
is there a way to rotate my other views the same way as the front view does?
i was curious if there is a way to have a part in wireframe in ISO view with just the foreground visible without the background wireframe , without going through and deleting the background wireframe , would be handy in setup sheets for accuracy
any imfo would be great thanks

hello was wanting to know if anybody knows a way to make a stl file a solid ? once I verify my part the only way I know how to save the verified part is as a Stl file , and then I can import it into solid works witch is fine but from there I cant do anything with it , I cant save it from solid works and then import it back into mastercam ,because theres no geometry on a stl file
What im trying to do is find a way to get the verified part from my first operation as a solid to my second operation for accuracy
any imfo would be helpful
