  1. Thank you, I'll give that a shot
  2. We have the Catia translator already but it will not open the .3dxml, yes it is a Dassault product
  3. The place I currently work at has a customer that started sending us 3Dxml files. We were told to purchase 3DLive to view the files, also told us that we should be able to export the files out from there to step files. We purchased the software and cannot export out. Was curious if there is an add-on or translator for X8 that we could get in order to do this?
  4. Shared data folder file map C:\Users\Public\Documents\shared mcamx8\CNC_MACHINES I don't know what else to try, the machines show up in machine type drop down menu and my machine definition menu management list. They just won't show up in system configuration default machines tab
  5. Yes I migrated from X6, and I've double and triple checked that the files are in the right location.
  6. I recently downloaded X8 and was going through and setting up my machines. I can see all the control definition files and the machine definition files in the cnc_machines folder, all the posts are in the posts folder, and I can also see all my machines in the Machine Definition Menu Management list. But when I go to the system config and go to the default machines tab none of the machines are showing up on the drop down.
  7. I was just curious if it is possible to select all operations using vbscript?
  8. Roger is it possible to do the exact same thing as this with a .STL? I'm also very new to coding, any help will be much appreciated
