  1. can someone tell me how to remachine a pocket after using surface rough pocket.i am using a 1-1/4 in bull nose and want to go down to a 1/2 ball nose. The problem im having is i need to remachine with depth cuts so i dont bury the smaller cutter and break it.Using surface finish leftover takes the 1/2 to the final depth.
  2. i forgot to tell you i went from a top tool plane to a bottom tool plane
  3. our rotary axis is horizontal along x axis
  4. yes you are correct if i am reading you problem correctly as long as the top of the work is zero.Be carefull of final depth settings though you should only set them as deep as you need to go not beyond you could run into other problems
  5. i create a toolpath for half a part.I then copy the operation change tool planes 180 degrees on a fourth axis rotary table. My question is does anyone else have a problem with the tool taking a different path on the second operation.
