I have been trying to modify the template.  I have been doing pretty good on getting  the "General Information" and "Tool" stuff  the way I like.  I don't know a lot about how it works but have been trying to teach myself.  My goal is to have 1 full size capture per page. I can get somewhat there but fist capture may be towards bottom of the first page and the next capture towards the top of the next page etc.

  2. I just ran a test peel mill path at the machine. 22000 rpm 115 ipm .010 step over. with a 3/32 EM

The machine feedrate never made it above 30ipm. I think this is a robodrill thing. If it were much faster the machine would shake way to much for my liking anyway.

It took approx. 7 min for 1 slot. and the code took up most of the machine memory.

I attached the test file if someone can take a look and maybe give me an idea if I am doing something wrong.

  3. Hi All

I'm looking for suggestions for the best (fastest) way to mill these fins. The spacing is .130 x .646 deep. I will be running it on a Robodrill with 24K max RPM.

I tried a peel mill path with a 7/64 EM but the code was way long.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Mike

  4. John...just tried it but it did not help. I deleted the config again then rebooted my pc and still no difference. When I close there is a short delay up in the lefthand corner of the screen next to SP2 it says not responding another short delay then crash.

  5. Thanks got it to work.

To answer the original question I use WCS exclusivly. I design all the fixturing for the parts I program in SW. So when I bring my assembly into mcam from SW I just set my WCS to what ever I need to program.

    The fixture, clamps ,part etc

This way whenever I need to make changes in SW to the fixture or anything in the assembly it comes in to mcam in the same spot as the original file. This makes change recognition very simple.
