  1. 30 yrs old. Been at it since 1990, right out of high school. Started out building an office for the company I work for now. I put the form up and started to pour the concrete. To my terror, the back wall of the form fell and concrete ran out all over the place. Luckily, the boss was there. He jumped on hte tractor and rammed the back wall some what into place and the slab was saved though one side is slightly askew. To my surprise, he ut me to work in the shop after that. Been here ever since. Been using Mastercam since v.5
  2. Hello once again, In the job setup menu, there is a field that allows you to add to your diameter offsets. The problem I have found is when you add, for example "10" to the offsets, do the toolpath, then, for whatever reason, you must add "20" to the offsets, it won't update the existing toolpaths. Is this a problem with MC or am I possibly overlooking something? (as does happen more than I care to admit!)
  3. oops! Boy, do I feel real intelligent right about now. Too early in the A.M. and not enough coffee I guess. I added that op and it works great now. Thanks.
  4. Good morning, thanks for the replies. I added the op 19 line but still the same result. Here is what that section of my post looks like: # -------------------------------------------------------------------------- # Strings - String labels must start with 's' - they are not pre-assigned # -------------------------------------------------------------------------- #Select operation note sop00 NULL # String definition sop01 2D-CONTOUR # " " sop02 3D-CONTOUR # " " sop03 DRILL/TAP. # " " sop04 POCKET.... # " " sop05 RULED..... # " " sop06 2D-SWEPT.. # " " sop07 3D-SWEPT.. # " " sop08 REVOLVED.. # " " sop09 LOFT...... # " " sop10 COONS..... # " " sop11 TRIM ..... # " " sop12 FILLET.... # " " sop13 ROUGH..... # " " sop14 OP14...... # " " sop15 OP15...... # " " sop17 OP17...... # " " sop18 OP18...... # " " sop19 FACING.... # " " sopnote # Target string fstrsel sop00 opcode sopnote # -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is there anything I'm overlooking?
  5. Hey everybody, I am having a problem with a post that I hope will be an easy fix. The problem is it won't let me post out any facing routines. (I am using v.8.1.1) It says "Selector variable opcode = 19.0 out of range for string select". The post is for a Bridgeport DX32 control. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.
  6. no, what I mean is when I set a tool or construction plane for doing some toolpath, I go to "cplane", "rotate", define the rotation, then hit "save". What would be nice if upon hitting this "save", it would take you to the descriptor page where you can name the view and set the origin etc. (the page you now get by going to "cplane", "next menu", "save named")
  7. thanks, that saves a little time and frustration. It would still be nice to jump directly to it from the first save though. Maybe in the coming releases....
  8. I was wondering if there is a way to jump directly to the tool plane descriptor page when saving tool planes. I am using v8.1 and as it is now, you rotate, then save. Then you must go to Cplane, next menu, and save named to get to where you can describe the tool plane and set the origin etc. Seems to me, you should go directly to the descriptor page when choose the initial "save". Am I overlooking something? Is there a way to do this?
  9. I am running version 8.1 level 3 on windows 2000. The trouble I am having is when I use the NC Verify. If I try to load an STL file to use for my stock, Mastercam crashes. Anybody got any suggestions?
  10. I have a DMU 50V evolution. The control is a Heidenhain but is a Mill plus control. Is that the same as a 430? I have a post that works ok except for any dynamic 5 axis motion. The reseller is working on that. Is the 70V a 5 axis machine? This one has a 45 degree angle on the "b" axis so it is a little different animal. does your post output accurate dynamic code?
