  1. I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to help me be more efficient. I find myself creating an awful lot of geometry to drive my cutters in a many situations. That being said I was wondering if someone would be willing to share one of their more difficult parts with me. I am programming for a horizontal and doing a lot of stitching & indexing. Any help would be greatly appreciated..
  2. I am trying to make a sweep cut in solids and I get the message "path curve is not smooth within 5 degrees"..anybody else?
  3. Thanks for the post. It certainly shows me how much I don't know... ------------------ Thanks R.Johnson
  4. Very informative..However it does not answer my question. Maybe I am unclear as to what I am looking for..you tell me..I see that the ref. point box is checked. Is this what you are trying to show me..Is that where you would put the centerline numbers. I am looking to avoid re-posting if we were to happen to move the job on the tombstone for instance. Is this possible? I am with you when you say you draw the part on the tombstone when you are programming to spot any interference & what not. However centerline must be referenced in order for rotations to be correct.. [This message has been edited by Rjohnson (edited 04-26-2001).]
  5. How are you all handling programming using the centerline of rotation?..Do you put the centerline of your tombstone in the post somewhere or do you use the T/C planes to control rotation? We have a sh500 horizontal (soon anyway) and I am trying to get prepared..
  6. I am working on that now myself. What I did was to format some questions & as the questions came up I input my X,Y,Z,& B values. It is somewhat of a workaround I guess but it worked..I ended up just forcing the G90 G10 L2 P1 X? Y? Z? B? out and I will manually input the numbers where you see the question mark. Hope this makes sense and/or helps. On another note how are you handling centerline of rotation? Where are you putting that number(centerline) so posting is correct? ------------------ Thanks R.Johnson
  7. I tried what you said & had no success, it is probavbly my error. Anyway here is the line from my .txt file. How should I edit it so it will output 2 in Misc. integer [1]? [misc integers] 1. "Work Coordinates [0-1=G92, 2=G54's]" This is nothin new but I'm
  8. Who's the man!!! Thanks a lot. I had talked to our local dealer & he had no idea..Great job!! ------------------ Thanks R.Johnson
  9. Has anyone had a problem with duplicate entity deletion? I am creating fixtures which are the same size as my stock & I don't want duplicate entities to be deleted but no matter what I do they are being deleted. I have the delete duplicate entities in file/get unchecked. Any suggestions?
