That is kinda funny isn't it M. Anderson
Although I will say,, The guys at Cad/Cam Solutions are hard workers and have been great to me,, Exspecially Chris,, and that's only because he is direct machine specifics.. He knows the machines,, and Steve know the software and post issues.. great group of guys,,,,
Hardmill,
You have been on here for quite sometime.
School me in a brief way what are the do's and do not's on here quickly so I try not to ruffle feathers.
Thanks
Only reason I ask is because Dealer stayssss busy and hate to bother them at times, and it's only because I think alot of the fella's. I know that's what they get payed for but didn't know asking for a postthat already existed would be such a burner,, I know now and will make my dealers work for a livin,,, hahaha!!!
Not my First post,,, but 31 compared to your 9115 post is quite close to it Hardmill, So I will def. take your advise and contact Dealer,,,Thanks for the warning.. No harm intended if anyone takes it the wrong way,,,!!!!
I recently recieved a haas vf-3 with programmable coolant. Story is, I have a few other VMC's but none have programmable coolant. I am using MCAM X MR1 and would like a little insight as to how I make this programmable coolant thing work and where code needs to go and if MCAM has a macro or setting that turns Programmable coolant on.
Thanks,
Ok guys, lets just say I have a 2.0 round piece of stock and i want to put 5 holes equally spaced around the part 1.0 from the face, how would I get started? This is just a simple example.
Thanks
Does anyone have a haas sl-20 or sl-30, with live tooling?
If so,, please let me know,, i am just getting started with mine and might need a lil help.
Thanks
HEY GUYS,
JUST BOUGHT A NEW HAAS SL-30 TURNING CENTER WITH BAR FEEDER AND WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOW WHERE I MAY FIND SOME GOOD FILE TO VIEW TO CHECK OUT HOW THIS PUPPY IS SUPPOSED TO RUN?
I am not sure if i mentioned, but I created my parts in Autocad only because I am extremely perficient in creating complex drawings in that software and then I just done a file conversion and imported my file into MC.9.
I haven't gotten good enough yet to creat 3d parts in MC.9 just yet.
2d is a breeze for me and the more I work with it the better I am getting, but for the time being, I have to draw 3D in Autocad.
Now that the long windedness is gone, looking at my part. Will I need to create surfaces to it before I machine it, and how do I go about createing surfaces to this part?
Thanks , Leonard
Jay, It's ok to leave the file. These are EOD items. They are just dummy training mines and no secret clearance is needed to resource to outside help..
Thanks for the concern.
Leonard
Hello there,
I am quite new at the 3d machining and surfaceing and am needing some help getting started.
I have created a 3 piece injection mold die.
its a solid right now but has no surfaces i don't think.
I need some help orienting the parts individualy and creating surfaces and then possibly assigning rough and finish toolpaths so that i may machine these 3 parts in a HAAS VMC.
Can anyone help please?
My part is in the FTP MC.9 folder named CLAYMOREPLUG,, I have a few others in there as well but they are another claymore part. this one is named claymoreplug.
any help is very very appreciated
Thanks, Leonard
Andrew,
I am creating an injection mold die and naturally, it is a 2 piece die, so I need to cut half the threads into one half of the die, and the other half of the threads into the other half of the die. Its not like I can use a tap, or thread mill and cut the threads. So I have to have a thread surface to follow in order to cut the threads.. Unless you might have another idea for this achievement.. Any help is greatly appreciated and all Ideas welcome in my book, I am a newbie at the M Cam and need all the help I can get. .
Thank you very much
Leonard
