I looking for a formula for turnning to get a Depth of cut. I have everthing else I think:
Surface FT/Min = 1200
RPM = 9167
IPM = 64.17
IPR = .007
Work Piece is .500
WHAT IS THE FORMULA FOR THE DEPTH OF CUT???
Can it be done?
I running a #25 drill at 2700 rpm feeding at 5.1 and drilling .460 deep. Tapping it with 10-24 tap at 720 rpm feeding 30. Also tapping a pre-drilled hole with an 8M x 1.00 running at 249 rpm feeding at 9.8 for a .660 deep hole. Can I run faster on any of this? Is it to fast? Or what?
At work I use G54, G55 and so on in every program I run. I'm new to Mastercam and I can't seem to get Mastercam to put a work offset code (G54) in when I run my post. Can it be done, if so how?
