In X8 it was easy to change the Z offset when you used planes to program the other side. ie...Bottom
OP1 machine top... OP2 Machine bottom. I set bottom using planes to machine OP2. Cant figure out how to use the dialog box to move the Z datum to the top of the part.

In X7 Hide/unhide asks you what you want to keep. I click All Wireframe and it leaves the geometry not the wire frame.
There is a difference from Geometry and the wire frame. Im still trying to figure out where to click to say I want to keep All
geometry. Is there a ALL button anywhere???

thanks guys im figuring it out. I set my WCs and TPlane and cPlane the same. It works this way.
dont know if this is right but oh well.... Im bringing in other files from X7 and everything is cool. The origin
WCs etc.... is fine... im lazy
It was easy in X7 to copy part to diferent level. im tryin to figure this out in 2017. any tips.
also I in plane manager i set back has top so I can drill side holes. In X7 you just put in th offset dimension for a new origin. Im tryin to set origin to top of part and edge. I pressed unique but got lost
i clicked on the 2 new origin edges but nada.. help

I just dont get how to rotate and setup the 3D part in 2017 .
I press right WCS tpo rotate part flat and it spins 90 I want it flat
