I had copy this dll from link and Copied it to Apps folder in mastercam. I had already Inventer 8 Installed on my PC. but when i try to import Inventer filein mastercam There was no Option like converters-> autodesk other options are there like asci sat dxf Adv ACAD etc. what i can do for this. Iskander Here i am giving you my Goal. I want to creat CNC code for operation of drilling tapping Step drilling(form Tool) In my design process i found differt location for this operation. suppose there are 20 points on one face. and out of them some r only drilling tapping and some are drilling, step drilling ,tapping and counterboring opration. Presently I insert all this operation in mastercam manualy taking this design information on text file. It is very time consumming and I have to refer text information every time. So that i decide to write NCI file containg all operation in my design process as per process planning and we only need to modify some parameter and tool numbering as per his machine shop stepup using editnci chook and verify in mastercam. I am also try to write CHOOKs to import all operation but as i am new in chooks i am not able to set some parameter of differnt operation like adding geometry points in operation and chaning drilling cycle etc. Please give me any suitable idea. Hi Friends What value to be inserted in diameter of form tool while creating new form tool? Also when i import NCI file for verification when the dia of two form tool is same then Mastercam considered as single tool for verification. as i am using different form tool. example 1013 0 1. 0. 0 1 0. 0. 0. 3 C:MCAM8MILLTOOLSCO6-3.MC8 .... . 1013 0 1 0. 0 1 0. 0. 0. 3 C:MCAM8MILLTOOLSCO7-2.MC8 above case for verification use only C06-2.MC8 form tool. And then i import nci file. Now it is showing me exact custom tool. sir i could not get about this line in previous reply In your original file in tools parameters in tool file name parameter click on select and select it ,click ok and make nci file . please reply. USe this file as as Import NCI file in new file and then try to verify it does not display form tool (Custom profile) rather it showes cylindrical shape tool. what i should do to display that custom profile tool when i import NCI. Thank you sir, Actually i have data about more drill holes of differnt size and differnt operation at some location may one point have drill taping counter bore etc. Such data is may be number of time i want to insert all data by using some custmisation so that user has to do less work for selecting tool and location and operation.
