David, we currently are using multi-dnc, servicing 8 vmc's and 5 cnc lathes. Instead of sending to machine you actually draw the file from the server, at the the control. Any edit changes at the machine can be punched back to the server for future use. Having all Fanuc controls ranging from 6m to 18m, and 1 om control the only obstacle was editing the post so as to allow any nc file to be sent to any one of the vmc's. I can't offer any advice on any of the other dnc packages, but this one works real well for us. Dan

I started with ver 3, dos of course. It's on a 5 1/4 floppy. Used it for many years. Even that old with no gui it was capable of many things. In the last couple of years I went to ver 7, and now 8.1. Wow, what a difference. Seeing what we have available now, I look back and wonder how we ever got things done in a timely manner with the old interface. But at the time we thought it was great and got along just fine. Dan

I'm just trying to create a comment area that will post in the sub, just like the mpfan, or the mpmaster allows for in the main program following the tool comment. Dan

I'm trying to get the mpfan post to put out a comment right after the program number and right before the incremental move in a sub. The sub was created using transform-translate-rectangular, and I'm trying to utilize the comment window. I'm not sure where and what the post needs. Can anyone help? Thanks Ambassador, plenty of space. After reading through some old posts I've come to the conclusion my video card isn't up to par. I ended up renaming the opengl32.dll and seems to have fixed the problem. I guess it's time for a new card. Thanks, Dan

Hi all...I keep getiing a error message, "Warning - memory allocation error for tool storage". I use to see it once in awhile and other than a little annoying, it would go away with no problems. Now it's consistant and creating quite a problem. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance

Thanks, but what I meant was after generating the toolpath, being able to look at code without posting first... Sorry for the confusion.
