  1. We have a thermwood machine with the 91000 supercontroller and are looking for someone who can create a trim path in 5 axis mastercam for this part. We have no post processor or software yet (don't ask) and would like to verify that mastercam can do this. Would anyone like to see if they can creats us G-Code for this part. If so email me at [email protected]
  2. I have a Thermwood 67 and am looking into Mastercam X and was wondering about the Post Processor. Where can I get it, How Much is it? Can anyone help.
  3. Something with contours and smooth surfaces.
  4. Does anyone have a demo G Code file to cut something cool on our new CNC. We do not have MasterCam yet so I would need it in G-Code for our Thermwood machine. Thanks
  5. We are purchasing a new CNC with a supercontroller there is a feature called Cad Part and DXF translatorm and another Easy Link. These say the automatically create CNC files? I don't see how thses can create a CNC program. Can anyone please calrify this? We are going to use mastercam if we get it to cut composite parts. Thanks.
  6. Its the old dos interface that I don't like. I have had demos on both and have used ACAD, to CATIA and prefer the windows type interface. The scrolling menu is annoying but that is my opnion. With mastercam X coming out I was told it will have a windows interface and look like the reset of the software out there for cad/cam. Also Thermwood is not close to us so training and service across north america is not a smart thing to do since we have local suppliers to train and support.
  7. Yes we looked at what out there, location of service, postprocessors, ease of use and got a demo on both. I think with Mastercams new version it will match the appearance of Delcam, currently Mastercam interface sucks but will be better. People on this post have the same machine and run the Router PRO package with little problems, plus it is what they teach in the college here. It will do what we need since I will program once and run the program for 15-30 years which is the life of our products. Once and a while program fto cut a pattern.
  8. Wow we just got the quote for Delcam Powermill 5 vs master cam its 32% more money than MasterCAM We are getting MasterCAM.
  9. You had mentioned you have a model 67 That is what we just purchased but made it a 4 foot z axis. How do you like the machine?
  10. Don't remember I think that was Mastercam. Where can I get a thermwood post processor? Twin table 5' x 10' x 4' (z) 5 axis machine I am on the west coast of Canada!
  11. The Delcam reseller keeps pitching that the post is guarenteed to work the second time if there is an error. Although I am still trying to beat the price out of him. I know the posts for master cam are like 5k depending on who writes it and are just expensive.
  12. Hi I was informed about this page and am looking at this MasterCam Router Pro package and Powermill 5. We are looking at the software to trim fiberglass parts and cut MDF patterns. We are purchasing a 5 axis twin table Thermwood CNC. The questions: Is the Router PRO package easy to use? Has anyone used the Powermill (Delcam) package? What about the ease of getting a post processor that works? What else do I neek to look at? What are the benefits of one over the other? My companies under construction site is www3.telus.net/rbprice Please help Matthew
