  1. I figured it out now. Thanks for the help. I didn't understand that selecting the second chain inside the pocket formed the inside boundary around the numbers. Looks cool. You're right, this will be a neat project for students.
  2. I was trying to do a house number sign, an oval with raised numbers. How can I cut out the inside of the oval and leave the numbers? I am trying to pick up what I can in my spare time by doing small projects. I purchased five copies of Router 9 to work into my tech ed class. Also, anyone have any tips for machining an electric guitar body? It seems like pocketing is going to be the biggest part of it. Thanks for your help. Sa
  3. I am using Router 9 and a Light Machines router wtih "Bench Router" software. Whenever I post a file, the starting point on the machine ends up way off from where it was in Mastercam. Is there any way to make them start at the same point, like a corner? Thanks!
  4. Count me in. I recently purchased Router v9.1 to go along with my Light Machines router. I like the projects that Errol Groff has posted and will definitely steal that idea for my class, thanks. I am looking forward to spending some quality time with this setup this summer. The best feature I have found is being able to convert a bitmap image into machine code! How cool is that? 5. Here is the machine that I have: http://www.benchman.com/images/PDF%20Files/router.pdf Hope that helps with my question. Sam
  6. I have a Light Machines router and newly purchased Mastercam router v9 sp2. Does anyone know what post processor I need to use? I am using "Bench Router" software to run the machine. Also, can this machine handle machining aluminum? What kind of tooling should I use, speeds, etc. I am a teacher, not a machinist. I will be taking the training this summer sometime. Any help getting me started will be great. I see a lot of potential for this in my class and can't wait to get this all up and running. Thanks, Sam
