Can anybody give me any tips or maybe some good feeds and speeds for milling a good finish with the bottom side of an endmill. Im working with D2 steel and 3/4 endmill.

Hi CEMENTHEAD, Thanks for the reply. Can you be a little more specific about .SET file? Can I still use the same setup sheet that I have just saving in a different format or a completely new set of files?

Can the general information of the setup sheet be saved within the program it self? Every time I start a new file or open an old program, the setup info is from what was entered previously and not the info for job it self. In other words, I have to keep typing in the info every time because Mastercam does not save it within.

I'm using triangular mesh tool path to do a 5-axis motion surface profiling. I'm trying to make an offset for -.005 but tool path disappears. It will take a positive offset but not a negative. I would appreciate any help. Thanks

The problem is that it doesn't show in Mastercam simulator. I only see it afterwards on the actual part. Im using Camplete? can you be more specific about the arc setting ? -
Hi All, I'm having issues with the tool slightly clipping the part in the back-feed motion when high-speed roughing using either dynamic or optirough in mastercam. The machine I'm using is Matsuura MX-520 5-Axis. Is this a setting that I'm missing in Mastercam or some parameter or setting in the machine itself?
