    Alt S

We have seven seats of MasterCam ranging from Design to Mill Level 3. We have never had a problem with the ALT+S until now. In the past two weeks Ive replaced two of our computers. They are both XP and the ALT+S doesnt work on either one. I did as msf24 did and changed them to ALT+Q but that is a pain after using ALT+S for the past 10 years. If anyone has found a fix for this I would love to know.
  2. Thank you... that makes really good sence. Will be working on it today and tomarrow and see if I can get it working.
  3. Yes that helps me to see just how it works. Now just to see if it will count as it moves from E1 E2 and E3 and then contenue to count on the next run.
  4. We are useing a Fadal on this operation. Im working on getting it to work with the fixture offsets.
  5. We are makeing our own AR15 lowers now and are having to write a program for each serial number. We are running fixture offsets with as many as 6 lowers at a time and would like to be able to put the serial numbers on them as we run them. Does anyone know of any possible way to sequentially number parts with a chook or other means?
  6. Exactly what I was looking for... Thanks
  7. I am getting the window for login and password when I open the page with windows explorer.
  8. Where do I find the login and password for the FTP site. Im sure its right in front of my nose and I think I have even asked this before.
  9. We are posting to a new lathe and my arcs are reversed. What do I need to change in my post to reverse my g2 and g3 for arc moves? Also is there somewhere I can find information on planes? Ive been useing Mastercam for 5 years now but I still dont completely understand the planes completely. I have been doing all I can to just avoid useing them but its high time I learn how to use them. There have been times that I have tried to use them and ended up with my part turned some strange way and couldnt get it back or either my program came out at a weird angle and my part drawn straight. Thanks....
  10. Yes that worked.... thank you I have been trying to figure this out for weeks. Ill do a few more and see how it comes out. I really wish they still had the highfeed library. I read the help files and they said it did have one but the entire section on HFM reads just like it did in 9.
  11. Yes we have spoken to the dealer and I think we are the only ones they have that use it. So far they havent been able to come up with an answer. Ill see if I can put a file together and put it up on the FTP.
  12. We use high feed machining for almost all of our 3D finishing. We have recently made the change to X and have put the same information in the machine dynamics as we used in 9. However when we post, it post with a minimum feedrate of .01 IPM when it is set to a minmum feed rate of 30 IPM. In 9 I had the option of chooseing different high feed files. In X it appears to be only one setting per machine definition. We use different dynamics depending on the shape and size of the part. For instance the part I am currently working on is only 1.5 inches wide and when it post out with highfeed it starts with a minum feed rate of .01 and only goes to 25 at the fastest point. The same settings in 9 post with a minimum feed rate of 20 and 120 at the fastest. Needless to say the X post will take 18 hours to run a 1.5 X 2 inch part and the 9 post will only take 1.5 minutes to run it. Am I over looking something or is this a glitch in X?
  13. I loaded a few of that Ive made here.... ftp://www.ppcadcam.com/Mastercam_forum/MC...ongbows%20Pine/ All of these went to Council. The one named BL2007 made it to Council in show. The files are sort of big they have the programs with them also.
