Thanks everyone for your help. I got it to work today after I recovered from my brainf**t. My problem was because I sent the program from my controller into cimco edit then tried to open in Mastercam with G,Mcodes and block numbers still in the file. Once those were removed it worked great.
Thanks again for your help everyone,
Ernie

How do you get the data into Excel? Will it import directly in or do I need to save as some other type of file? When I bring the file into Cimco the suffix is (.dig).

Good Eyes! (sawdusty)
When I try to generate splines, lines or points it draws some erratic shapes that doesn't mean anything.

I'll bring some text home tomorrow and post what I get from the digitizer. No internet access at work.

I'm trying to do just x and y before I go on to 3d. We are just trying to learn the digitizing software
Thad,
I tried to generate splines with no success
Heeler,
I am using a Miltronics mill with a Centurion 7 controller. I have sent the resulting points back to Cimco Editor. What steps do I take to get it into Mastercam? I don't consider myself much of an expert here.
Thanks
Ernie
Is there a way to bring a digitized program from cimco edit into mastercam to generate geometry? I can run my digitizer around the profile and generate x,y coordinates into cimco and create toolpath but can I get mastercam to generate the geometry?
Hello Everyone,
I'm having trouble putting fillets on a solid. I have created a solid model and am unable to get fillets in certain areas. The solid model will be booleaned from another solid then machined to form a mold. I have also tried to boolean first then create fillets in the mold with no luck. If anyone can help I will EM the file so you can see it.
Thanks,
Ernie
This may sound hard to believe at first but I've done alot of aluminum plaques this way.
Clamp a flat block of alum in the vise and attach the plate you are engraving and contouring with a quality, heavy duty, carpet tape. You obviously can't take real heavy cuts and you can't go too heavy on the coolant.
Hello everyone,
I need to engrave a "caduses" on a plaque. Does anyone know where I can obtain a pattern that I can import into MC?
Thanks in advance.
Ernie
Hi Winnie,
Thanks for the quick reply. I thought I would be the only one up at this hour-Just got off work.

Does this help?
Hello everyone.
This is my first post here. I am new to mastercam and I am trying to cut a simple pocket. I am using a Dynapath controller and Cimco editor. My problem is this: on line 5 I get a f.0, then on line 7 I get f10.0, then on line 8 I get another f.0 etc. What do I have set wrong?
