  1. Hi, I'm using the add-on that I find at "http://www.verisurf.com/mastercam/" I'll e-mail you directly in a few minute for more specific... Thank you J-P
  2. Hi, I need help with verisurf. I have a STL file that I need to change in surface. I tried to apply a surface to my mesh and I always get and error message. "error loading surface fitting DLL" Is this an error of installation or is this a bad usage of the fonction??? Thank you J-P
  3. John, I just saw your toolpath, It's in fact the exact same toolpath that I endup with... Thanks JP
  4. Pete, Thats more like it, meanwhile I would have like to not have a lead-in in the second pass, but I can deal with it... As for the reason why I drill before is because the hole is 3" deep and it is more rapid to use a U-drill (7.5 sec) then to use a milling toolpath. I don't have to deal with vibration and chip load in the bottom of the hole... Thanks everyone JP
  5. Tim, Thanks for your responce, I had already tried your sugestion but the problem is that I pre drill first a 1-1/4 hole to the bottom and then finish the top pocket. So it's a waste of time to machine air in the middle like the circle mill option proposed me. I would realy like to enter in the center and then proced to the pocketing operation. The reason why I use the transform is because I edit the source toolpath so that it enter in the center and then proceed with the pocket. This way it require less toolpath modification. I realy need the fastest way of doing this... Thanks JP
  6. Hi, I would like to execute a pocket like I did in the Op #2 and #3 without editing my toolpath I would like to enter in the center witch is outside of my pocket boundry, witch seem to cause problem.... The file is on the FTP in the MCX_MR2_or Earler_Files folder and it's name POCKET HLP.MCX Thank you JP Industrials Products RGI McX MR2
  7. Thanks john, But available filters??? I find none that with select those. The thing is that I got a big wireframe with a few toolpath in it and I what to clean the drawing but I do not whant to erase toolpath line.
  8. Hi, My subject is the question.... Is there an easy way to delete all non-associative entities on a layer??? Thank you J-P Idustrials Products RGI
  9. Hi, Ok, I've got enought of fighting with mastercam to get my toolpath workout. I must do something wrong!!! I have a lot of surface contour to do and every time I use this operation type I always fight to keep the tool not to roll over the surface of what I whant to machine. I posted an example of what I mean on the FTP in the MCX file folder. The part no is R-30229 I would be very tankfull to those of you that could tell me what I'm doing wrong on this. Thanks J-P Industrials Products RGI
  10. In this particular case a facing op that i whant to change in pocket op. not a big deal to change but If it can be done it would be nice for surface Op for quickly determine witch one is the best for a particular toolpath. Thanks J-P
  11. Hi, Is it possible to change an operation type. Ex : change a face toolpath for a pocket face, or changing a surface parrallel for a surface contour etc... Thanks J-P RGI industrials products MCX MR1
  12. Thank you all for your valuable information. From what everyone proposed I end up with this toolpath. I had to make it like this because of the stock shape. If you like to see the end result or add a constructive comment, don't be shy. J-P
  13. Thank's I've tryed that too with no succes earlier and tought it was not the solution. But the thing is that I made the toolpath with a much bigger tool and I endup with a "gap setting" isued. It work geat now with the tool that I whant. Again... Thank's J-P
  14. Hi, I'm having some hard time with a "surface contour" toolpath that I whant to do. I am not very familiar with all the surface toolpath and I can't figure this one. I have posted a file on the FTP caled "R-30237" in the MC9_files folder. I try to make an open contour of the solid but no matter how I do it it always go around the surface. It must be a way to do this??? Thank's J-P RGI Industials products MC9 MR0105
  15. Millman, Thank you for your input on this, I manage to get exactly what I whant to do, with your advice and a few tweak. I've post the result on the FTP as 3300-1 if your are interested. Again Thank you J-P
