i amcutting some steel tubeing and using a 3 insert cutter 2 inch dia going .060 deep .
and keep frying the inserts
what kinda feeds and speeds should i try.
it may be crome molly but not sure

I have it figured out
wish there was a way to watch the program i am all new at this CNC stuff and its a real brain burner but i am doin ok No sparks flying yet at least hahahah
I am trying to set up DNC to my machine.
I have no problem sending programs that will fit into the memory,
But if the program is to large the control alarms because the memory if full. i put it in tape mode when i am sendin a large program,
Is there any thing different i need to do to drip feed it in

i am starting to get to the problem i have to change my start point on a countour manually using change strt then dynamic. that works i am just looking ti see if i can set it up so it wont start on an arc unless i ask it to

Hey really thanks for all the help here this is all new to me
ok guys here is my main problen
when i add wear comp in pocket cutter comp seems to work OK<
But in countour mode it go thru the G41 fine but when it gets to G40 it threws a 034 alarm,
here is what that line looks like
G1X0.
G2G40X0.Y.125I.125

I just figured one thing out in my post
damn 23 years on a manual machine now all this new cnc stuff wow i have been loosong sleep but i am getting it,and this speeds and feeds will drive ya nuts to at least on the manual i knew when i was takin to much material on this thing its all new to me
