  1. Hi, I'm a beginner in vb script and I have a big project to do in vbscript. First, I would like to know how we can use the menu command in background. My request is: I want to prompt the user to import an igs file. After I want to translate it of a defined value (not prompt the user). After I want to import an stl file with same name and translate it of the same value. So I must to use the Xfrom for stl. How can I do this all in background. Second question: What are the principles of entities selection in Mcam vbscript. Thanks to help me in this vb script adventure.
  2. For the max #tris, i put it at 0. Did you zoom on your toolpath? Did you see some plunge at some area? Did you have spot hole when you do a "verify"? If your toolpath seems very continious, can you send me you mc9 file? maybe I could find something Thanks
  3. I don't really know if it's Ganpati. It's a piece of building (granit sculture). I think it's a king of flower or kind of ornementation.
  4. Here's the link for my stl exemple ftp://www.ppcadcam.com/Mastercam_forum/MC9_files/stl21.stl Here's the linl for a picture of the problem ftp://www.ppcadcam.com/Mastercam_forum/Al.../stlproblem.jpg Thanks
  5. Hello, Thanks for your response but I used the stl2surf.dll but it's takes about 20 times more time to compute. Remember that my model contains about 20 000 triangles and more. I did a test with a 6000 triangles files and it take 5 minutes with stl2surf.dll and about 15 sec in a the regular way. So I need to know the problem with stl file. Thanks
  6. Hi everybody, I have a problem in programming toolpath on stl file. In someplace on the toolpath, the tool plunge on the piece at a random depth go ahead a little bit and return on the surface(triangle)to continue the toolpath. This problem appear in some place on the model. My Stl file is perfect(no holes, the normals are correct). My model represent a sculture with no flat area. It present a lot a small triangle(30000). Can you help me to find the problem?
