  1. Mike I insert different .tec files using a manual entry before the next operation.
  2. toolman, i know it is not ideal but if you break the line .0001" were you want the taper to end and do a change at point at the new point you created it will give you your desired results. I tried to email you the file but was unable to attach the mastercam file.
  3. Have you tried to insert a G38 before your taper amount is called out in your program. Maybe you would have better success programing the part in 4-axis?
  4. I run Charmilles wire machines and I just modified an existing library. I make up .tec files at the machines which gives me all my offsets, so the only thing I use the power library for is to insert condition codes.
  5. I operate Charmilles wire machines and I use G92 at the start of each program and if I need to run multiple setups in the machine I set points for each location and then call up the multiple programs and points using a .cmd file.
  6. no interferance with the nozzle, and there are no compound angles in the part. I think everyone is right in suggesting the guide distances are off but I have to figure out how to accuratley measure to my guides that are up into the holders. Maybe Charmilles has that dimension.
  7. del, indicated the bottom head from the table and looks good within .002.
  8. Matt, yes you are correct, unfortunately I did not list the sequence in the order in which it was performed. I belive John has a good idea about double checking the guide setup with gage blocks, but I am having problems accurately figuring the dimenision because I need to take into account the guide holder.
  9. Dell,I made sure the block was indicated in before making a cut. The guides are a little old but I have had no problems cutting other parts.
  10. That is a great idea! I will give that a try when the machine is not running. Thanks for the responses!
  11. I know this is a little off topic, but I sure do appreciate the help!
  12. On the Charmilles, when I run a guide setup it automaticaly figures the relationship of the guides to the table.
  13. I did a dry run of the program off to the side to make sure there was no interferance with the cups.
  14. The machine is 10 years old and maintained pretty good so I belive I can exclude poor maintanance. As far as the z height, that included in the part program. keep the ideas coming, anything helps
