I'm pretty close to giving up on fighting for Cimco.

I talked to our maitanance guy and he asked why they wanted Predator instead of Cimco. He said it didn't make sense why they wouldn't go with Cimco because it's "industry standard".

I talked to our floor manager and his response was "I never even heard of Predator before, why aren't we going with Cimco?" I told him I couldn't come up with any hard evidence of why to spend the extra money. He said without hard evidence management probably won't spend an extra dime. Which is a shame.

My point is, it seems everyone here except the people with the money think we should be getting Cimco.

CIMCO DNC Max can certainly handle this and has built in drivers for the Moxa units (wired or wireless). Nothing is reliable as a wired connection IMO but definitely depends on a few factors. The Wireless converter boxes are about double the price of the ethernet to RS-232 converter boxes and the wireless ones are getting a bit hard to find in Moxa brand because of the chip shortage and end of life of a particular part. In either situation, you only have a 3ft - ~ 10ft cable that would be transferring RS-232 code format vs the rest is done via ethernet so typically the baud rates can be upped a bit

Tegheim, are you still running into issues with CIMCO Probing and it crashing your system? When opening up your file I see that it shows up as 0.0K for the toolpath size and wont let me open the operation. I would agree with gms1 - The Doosans are generally setup with M165 vs G65. Here is a picture from a Doosan Manual that uses the M165 for the 9810 (Protected Positioning cycles)

@Rstweart - The Renishaw Macros will have the G103P1 inside of the macro as you can see in my screenshot.

With this being the case, whenever CIMCO Probing calls up that macro, it right away limit the look ahead and would be redundant in my opinion.

Here are two examples - one is in the 9810 (Protected positioning moves) & a standard measurement cycle such as 9814 (Bore/Boss cycle). Hope this helps!
