  1. Not trying to be a DxxK but if you dont know just hey man I dont know and move on! Not really wanting an opinion just a answer if someone has it. And if it crashes then I will take full responsibility for it but im pretty sure with the size of this table and how far away from everything the tool setter is I will be fine.

  2. The machine I have this on has a 5th Axis Tombstone on it and I know that the tool setter will not intefere at any point with that so I dont have to worry about that. And it takes time to home everything out touch tool off change tool then rotate everything back to where you were when it could have stayed there and been ready to roll after tool change. I am in charge of programming two of these machines and both have the Tombstone system on them one machine will already touch tool off like that but the other I have to rotate.

  3. its actually when I restart in the program 8010. Im on a Mazak so I hit restart program#8010,then the N number that I want to restart on in 8010 input ,input ,input then it scrolls through all the program till it gets to that particular number but as soon as I hit restart it will have already changed my work offset for some odd reason. That being my main program is 8007 which ist what I have G-code for in my original post thats from program 8007

  4. Just wondering if anyone uses this in your EIA programs. I have it used but if we restart the program for some reason it is resetting my work offsets to crazy numbers.

    N1 ( FIRST OP SIDE ONLY )
    G00 G90 G54.1 P10 A0. C0.
    M00 ( CHANGE PARTS IN STATION #1 VISE )
    T40 M06
    G00 G90 G54.1 P10 X0. Y0.
    Z.5
    G65 P9023 A4. X8. Z-.5 S110.
    G65 P8010
    M30

can anyone see anything that I have wrong that would cause that. Thanks in advance

You need to check which "base posts" you are using. the one that works and the one you are modifying. If they are the same it should be pretty straightforward.

If different maybe not so. Look at the Revision Log at the top of the post, if the initials are IHS then it is probably Mpmaster, if CNC then a CNC generic or machine OEM post (they do a bunch of Haas posts for instance).

You need to make sure all your custom variables are defined and initiated too.

Do you have the documentation? Would definitely make it easier for you as, it describes these things .

Search the post that works with your variables and functions and see what else has been added to make the statements go.

Again, this isn't something I have dealt with because the standard output works fine for us, so I would urge you to search the forum. I have followed some of the threads and they are quite interesting, I didn't copy them ( I often do) coz its just not on the our radar .

Man i actually figured it all out and got everything i needed to get it done. I just had to figure out where everything went. But after I did that it works perfect now. Thanks for you help.

    sorry made it shareable

it does not work if I insert it where the other one is in my old post.

You will have to construct your own logic in the post. Try searching the forum, there have been several examples of "custom" line numbers over the years.

Do you intend to have all lines numbered? That will eat up a lot of memory, especially with larger tool numbers.

yeah i have that in my other post but when i try to put it in this one it doesnt like it.But Im probably putting it in the wrong place

this is in my other post. Im trying to update our old post with this one since its more up to date. This is the only thing that I lack and this post will be pretty solid for us,

  8. finally got it working. somehow the path to where it was going got screwed up and had to fix all the paths to point in the right folders. i actually moved everything to my C: drive instead of the network. Ill just get my files off the network. Thanks for the help

  9. You have to go through the versions page. Go Diagnosis, version ,right soft key twice, then you should be able to type in the box. Type 1131.Then hit Diagnosis again then version again and now to the far right there should be another tab that says version hit it. Then its actually a Q parameter its the Q4 it needs to be set to 4 mine was on 1. I would power down and power back up as this may need that procedure.

  10. We just got 2 new 5th axis Robodrills. Im thinking the post is backwards we have the 5th axis mounted on the leftside of the table but I think its posting for either the right-side or with the A rotating in Y axis instead of the X. Is there a way to tell which one the post is for as I am at work and nobody is at my resellers right now to ask or confirm and im kinda needing to get this thing running. I've tried the Fanuc 5th axis post that comes with MasterCam but it doesn't post my G68.2 for my tool tip. Very frustrating. The post is actually a Postability post figured it would be pretty solid but not sure if anyone communicated which side our rotary would be on so I figured that had to be some switch to change in the post.

  11. Im trying to rename one of my integers and I keep getting an alarm that's says it is active but im not using it . Im trying to add one but really not sure where in the post to add it. Ive read the earlier post on it and can make it do it on every tool but I just want to be able to turn it on the tools that I want to as far as if the program runs the tool back to back. Im not wanting it to touch the tool off at the end every time. im wanting it for a tool break detect integer or real but struggling with where to add it in the post where it doesn't do it at every tool.

  12. Tried looking to see if this had already been discussed no luck. I have a post for a RoboDril  fanuc 31i. I think when the machine was installed they asked the installer or applications guy to change how it look at the B axis as far as how it read . Wether it be a letter B or A. they wanted it to read A. my question is is there somewhere in the post where  we can change it to read A instead of B. not sure why they requested it other than to make it like our Mazak machines so it wouldn't be confusing for the operators. Thanks in advance
