I didn't know that box has a 750 character limit. That's unfortunate, but hopefully I don't run into that limit soon
You can have multiples or enter it as a text file.

2020 does the same. If I shut down MC and restart, it goes away, until the next time.

"Multiaxis post can not interpolate between 2 moves with opposite orientations."
This pops up when I try to verify an operation that has a translate/rotary operation. Why?

Thanks for feedback!

You may have a switch to turn on and off commentint types. Look for this:
tool_info : 3 #Output tooltable information?
#0 = Off - Do not output any tool comments or tooltable
#1 = Tool comments only
#2 = Tooltable in header - no tool comments at T/C
#3 = Tooltable in header - with tool comments at T/C -
pbld, n$, *t$, ptoolcomment, e$# Move PTOOLCOMMENT to this line. You will have to do this in 2 places
-
He may have to control that in the post.

3 posts in and you're already being a d!ck. Nice.
I can understand his frustration. Something is not working, no matter what you try. Then people say it's easy but do not show you how it can be easy to fix. Sometimes it would be better if they said nothing, rather than rub salt into the wound. We've all been there.

G84.2 is the FS15 rigid tap format of fanuc's M29.

Can your control accept formulas? IE...F[1/20] ?
I prefer to use formulas in G95 mode so the control can calculate it's own precision level.

Hum then that is not working as I would expect either.
Yeah. Another thing that just happened is I tried to use a translation operation. It kept failing. I shut down MC and restarted and it worked fine.

Actually I was not changing views. I was only copying to select new geometry.

Nevermind. I finally figured it out

Do you lock feed rates or other things unchecked or checked? I copy operations (Process) all the time and don't see this. Might be something in your defaults doing this. Save the operation's defaults you want to copy and then copy it and see if that helps.
No, I do not lock feeds. The problems I am seeing seem to be occurring when my work coordinate system and my construction planes do not match. It happened twice this morning under the same circumstances. I was chamfering at an incremental depth of 0. After copying for a new process and only selecting a new solid edge to chamfer, the tool plunged to absolute Z0. I went back and checked both the original op and the copy, and the incremental definitely changed to absolute.
-
I notice that when I copy a process the linking parameters change. Specifically, the cut depth changes from incremental to absolute. There seems to be a few problems with linking parameters. The worst being that when using incremental or Associative when clicking entities for depths it does not fill in the correct depth value.

I think I saw this behavior start in 2019 and get worse in 2020.

For some reason MC sometime gives me grief while trying to change names of my custom WCS names after they have already been renamed.
Would that be because they were duplicated from the "top" WCS?

Real nice model

Trying out the generic 5 axis post.
I have everything figured out, except 1 thing. The rotary axis commands on the Fadal require a Signed direction. For example:
If you cut at B0, then want B90 your axis command would be B90.
However, if you are cutting at B90 and then want to cut at B45, you must enter B-45.
That would keep the rotary from hitting the table. Simply putting in B45 would send this machine 315 degrees around.
I got this to work, except after drill cycles it is not outputting the negative B0 to return like it does in all other paths. Does anyone know where to find this in the post?

I could be mistaken but I believe G54.2 is only good for 3 axis or 3 + 2, not simultaneous cutting
You could be right.

So we have a part that needs full 4th axis program in a horizontal machine. I know I can program with the fixture built on centerline of the table, but I was wondering if there is anything like TCPC that is standard in horizontal machining centers that we could try. I tried G43.4 and the machine alarms out. Any idea?
What kind of machine? Makino has G54.2.

No, this happens for every part. Even models that I create in MC.
