  1. psychomill, i wish it were that easy. I've been thrown into this position with no predecessor. I'm get to be the fortunate person to set the basis (with no experiance at all in programming a CNC). Kind of need as much input as possible.
  2. I've recently been put in charge of Programming our CNC at work, yet i have no idea of what to set the Plunge Rates at for the material that we are going to be cutting. - Solid Surface Material - Particle Board - MDF Board - Plywood - Luan If anyone cold help me out i would appreciate it...thanks
  3. Does anyone here have any data on Spindle Speeds and Feed Rates. I'm new to the MasterCAM software, as well as, the whole CNC programming. Any data that can be provided is greatly appreciated.
  4. This is a simple question...in the formula for figuring out what RPM to use it states that RPM=feedrate / (# of cutting edges x Chip Load). Can anyone give me an inkling as to what # of cutting edges refers to??? I beleive that it refers to the number of flutes on the bit, but i could be wrong.
  5. Thanks guys for the info, I'll see what happens, saying as though i have about 3 weeks to find out what is really going to go on with this. Wish me luck!!!
  6. I'll be cutting Corian Solid Surface mostly. Any suggestions as what Spindle rate i should use??
  7. I was wondering if there are any restrictions to which way the router bit can travel while cutting material. I do know that on a hand held router there is only one direction that it can travel in order to cut the material, is this the same with a CNC router?? I'm new at the controls so bear with me.
