Hi Everyone,
since I am a beginner in using MASTERCAM (version X5 MU1) (I am trying to self-learning it), I need help to understand how to implement a custom drill cycle.
The case at which I would like applying the customization is gun drilling.
After implementing the drilling of pilot hole by using standard cycles, how can I implement a custom drill cycle which could do that:
1. Entering of a gun drill in the pilot hole without rotation and coolant (lets say with a feedrate of 200 mm/min) up to a certain depth less than pilot hole depth.
2. Start rotation and feeding of coolant.
3. Drilling up to a desired depth.
4. Rapid retract to the start point about which of point 1.
5. Stop of rotation and coolant feeding.
6. Rapid retract out of hole drilled.
Can anyone help me with this topics? Are there some examples or tutorial explaining the approach to adopt in implementing a custom drill cycle?
Thanks in advance
