5x Morph gouges

Hello all, I am having an issue with 5x morph gouging into walls and Mastercam verify does not show the gouging. When this happened most recently I had collision avoidance selected for checked surfaces and not drive. The gouging occured on the actual drive surfaces. It looks like selecting the drive as well as check in avoidance has fixed it. I'm just curious why verify would not show the gouging and if anyone has any advice on catching issues like this. The morph toolpath is awesome but also seems kinda buggy. I have had morph change random tool assemblies and do other strange things. This is my first post here but I have been reading this forum for a while and have learned alot here. Thanks to everyone for sharing their knowledge.

You got a sample? I use it all the time and not seen what you have described. Could it be the flute was not check in the collision avoidance? I would have to see how you used verify and what you were checking to for an idea of what or why it missed things. If you can put together an example close to what you see then someone can review and make some suggestion or verify they are seeing what you are seeing.

Welcome to the Forum. Hopefully you can benefit more and get other questions answered.

Have a good weekend.

What is your collision tolerance?

Your verify tolerances and precision factor would also be important.
