Wireframe changes after "Flip Stock"

Recommended Posts

Hello,

So I have drawn a wireframe part in Mastercam lathe 2021 created toolpaths, and flipped the stock to start creating toolpaths on the backside, after flipping I realized I forgot to add a corner radius at a shoulder. I back up the red arrow in the toolpaths window to flip the stock back around so I can add the radius but when I flip the stock back the radius doesn't follow.

I guess what I'm trying to figure out is how to re-select the whole wireframe again to flip the stock?

Thanks for any help

I normally delete the original flip and redo it.

Thanks for the reply, that's what I ended up doing. Trying to find a way around it.

I have never found a good way. Flip takes a snap shot of the database where it is at that point and time and that is like a fingerprint of the toolpaths and file where it was at that point and time. Things get changed it just doesn't know because it just doesn't seem to have the ability to adapt on the fly to anything changed that was required for that snap shot. Things not related to the previous operations that get changed and have no impact on the flip to that point no problem, but where you need to change something before the flip I have found best to erase and redo and now the new snap shot is up todate and good to go. Always open to hear how others get it to do what you requested, but as you see by the lack of response not to many have answers or will even touch this topic.

Ok I got my answer on this from a co-worker. So you do pretty much what I said above using the red arrow to flip the part back around and make the change you need to the wireframe, then to re-take that "snap shot" you delete just the flip op then re-do it which will capture the change. You will need to "Re-generate dirty operations" too.
