2D Standard toolpath pocket question

I'm kinda  behind with mastercam as i have been using a different software, but as i recall when doing a standard 2d pocket path, if you wanted to prevent the tool from slamming into corners on a pocket routine we had to create geometry with bigger rads. Will 2023 give us some option when doing a standard pocket routine to build in a larger corner radius with out modeling the geometry?  thanks, and sorry i was unable to find anything in a search option!

Are you roughing?  In almost all cases when roughing you should be using Dynamic instead of Pocket..

Pocket for roughing (in most applications) has been obsolete since 2008 or so...

I don't think there's a way in classic pocket to override corner radiuses, though, you can do it with Contour and just use Multi Passes? image.png.2e311596f127a752fef27182bace6cd8.png

So i tried using this high speed dynamic mill path (first time using!)  and there is an option to leave stock on walls. When i enter a value it still is trying to finish with no stock?  Must be missing something here?

Welcome to the modern era :)

Any chance you can post a file so I can see what you've got?

I agree with what Aaron said above.

In a 2D pocket toolpath, using the "high speed" method gives you the "corner smoothing radius" option. I believe this gives the same behavior you're looking for but also limits you to only one cutting method.
