Exception raised in Calculation 5axis Layering

exception raised in calculation routine ( mwsurflenscan::getsectionatpoint reference point should be close to the surface ), trying to do a projected geometry onto a curved face, If I use Projected machining, it doesn't go to the bottom of the piece and instead flairs away from the piece, If I set it to Layering, I get this error, even with tolerances set well below 0.1mm, also the machining is centered on the geometry
