Mastercam and punch turrent machines

Anyone out there using mastercam to drive a punching machine?

No, but we have a Strippit and I've considered using MC and I have a few ideas on how to make it work. Do you have a specific question(s)?

No just getting some training at my new job and I think it would be a piece of cake for mastercam it's just getting the post configured to do it I think. The machines we have are 2 coma 50 ton machines and 1 38 ton vipros. What are you using to drive the machine you have James?

The sheetmetal guys are doing it by hand sometimes and using some software (not sure what brand) on the complex stuff like doing shapes and contours.

 

I think you're right though. I'd use drilling cycles and tweek the post. I think that would do it.

YOu can use the break lines function in the post to use contour with punch type machines.

here we run Striker for the Trumph punches. Striker is an add-on for AutoCad. It also has unfolding capabilities and sheet griding.
