In 22 gauge I think 304 would definitely be your best bet. If it has to be welded I'd go with a regular [2B] finish and buff or electropolish it afterward. If no welding is required you could get some brush finish material that is vinyl coated on both sides; just be careful when working with it and it'll look sweet when you're done

303 cuts like a butter (almost biggrin.gif ).

Easy to polish with a scotch brite.

304 is more difficult and 316 which was mentioned is even tougher.

See if you can get it in 22 gauge sheets first and go from there.
